Athene DE 4.1 Now Available

3 September 2004: Rocklyte Systems is pleased to announce the latest version of its free multi-platform OS environment, Athene 4.1. Available for Linux and Windows, Athene is able to function on competing operating systems while also maintaining its own independent OS infrastructure (the Athene CDROM series).

The 4.1 release of Athene includes a number of minor fixes and introduces new features, including: Support for running services in parallel from login, improved resolution and display management, security information displayed in the file manager, new hot-keys like alt-tab, plus dead-key support for international keyboards. Details on other changes are available in the Athene change log.

The Athene OS CDROM has been updated to include the latest desktop advancements. Existing customers can upgrade for free at the customer support area of the Rocklyte web site.
